Shahbaz Husain is a Founder Trustee of the Jerusalem Interest-free Microfinance Fund Limited. He focuses on marketing and fund-raising initiatives.

Shahbaz is a partner at Abacus Gold Ltd, a London-based accountancy, tax and business advisory practice focused on the SME sector. Prior to this Shahbaz has worked at major multi-nationals in a variety of roles and also at the Housing Ombudsman Service where he was Head of Finance & IT.

Shahbaz graduated from the University of Leicester where he read Electronic & Software Engineering, is a qualified accountant and holds an MBA from the HEC School of Management in Paris. 
 
Shahbaz has been involved in a number of community focused initiatives, including, school governor, heading the Muslim Council of Britain’s Youth Unit, providing political commentary on the Islam Channel and being director of the Ethnic Minority Liberal Democrats.
